Corby Warriors Braves
Corby Warriors has its own Youth Development programme. Fitting in with the theme of the name of the club, the players who take part in it are called the Braves.
The Braves are mostly players between the ages of four and the end of Year One at school.
Training: Takes place every Sunday morning at the West Glebe playing fields between 11:00am and 12:30pm. The cost is just £1.50 for every session that the player attends, which is used to cover costs and purchase equipment.
Sessions are led by a full-qualified FA coach with nearly 15 years’ experience of working with young children.
The emphasis for the Braves is on having fun within a safe and caring environment. The players are taught the basics of football – control, shooting, passing, tackling and positions – while making new friends and learning to work together with other children.
We consider the Braves to be the most important group in the club. We work hard to make sure that they feel welcome and part of the club and to prepare them for playing team football when they are old enough to play in the league!
There is no need to book a place at any of the sessions, though we would ask that you ensure that the children wear appropriate clothes according to the weather condition and that they bring along a drink – football can be thirsty work!
The only restriction is that there are certain activities that - in order to prevent bumps! - we will only allow children to take part in if they are wearing suitable shin-pads.
